CANOWINDRA INTERNATIONAL BALLOON CHALLENGE
Every year pilots from all over Australia and overseas gather at Canowindra to enjoy the challenge of the sport of competition ballooning, colouring the sky over this amazing landscape. See the magic and spectacle as over 20 hot air balloons take to the skies each morning and late afternoon in Canowindra every April, over a five to seven day period at the Canowindra International Balloon Challenge.
The highlight is the Community Balloon Glow and night markets where you will enjoy local produce, wine, crafts and entertainment culminating in a display as the balloons light up synchronised to music.
Whilst there visit the Age of Fishes Museum (home of the State Fossil), wander down the historic main street or enjoy art galleries, wonderful coffee, cellar doors and quirky shopping.
