The Cowra & District Historical Society & Museum Inc. is a not-for-profit group that is dedicated to preserving and recording the history of the Cowra area and the outlying villages that fall into the Cowra Shire. The group also hold information relating to some of the surrounding shire areas.

COWRA ANTIQUE VEHICLE CLUB
Formed in March 1993 the club caters for all types of historic vehicles over 30 years old. Included are Cars, Motorcycles, Trucks, Tractors, Stationary Engines and Horse Drawn Carriages as part of the charter for the club. The Cowra Antique Vehicle Club (CAVC) meet regularly at the station and promote the heritage of old cars in Cowra and the surrounding regions.

COWRA ART GROUP
Located in the room behind the Cowra Visitor Information Centre, Cowra Art Group Inc. includes Art, Craft, Quilting, Spinning and Weaving groups and welcomes interested new members to attend.
Throughout the year various workshops are held, one of these during Seniors Week, but mostly members meet in a friendly environment and assist one another.

COWRA COUNTRY WOMENS ASSOCIATION – EVENING BRANCH
The CWA was formed in 1922 when country women were fighting isolation and a lack of health facilities. The CWA is the largest women’s organisation in Australia and aims to improve conditions for country women and children. We reach that aim in various ways including lobbying for change, helping the local community, creating a network of support and meeting together in towns and cities. The Cowra CWA Evening Branch meet every second Wednesday (except January) at 7pm at Club Cowra.

COWRA HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
Established in 1881, the Cowra Hospital Auxiliary was formed at a public meeting. The Auxiliary is the oldest in NSW and every year, local volunteers have continuously raised funds to provide world-class medical equipment and facilities for the Cowra Hospital. The Auxiliary then provides the funds for the purchase of vital up-to-date medical equipment; helping doctors and medical staff support patients in their care and comfort and their recovery at home.
Since 1988, in excess of $669,700 has been donated.

headspace Cowra is a youth-friendly FREE service for anyone aged between 12 and 25 years who are having a tough time, or would just like to improve their health and well-being. headspace Cowra provides short-term services for mild to moderate difficulties, and is not an emergency service. COWRA MOTORCYCLE RACING CLUB
Established in 1997, the Cowra Motorcycle Racing Club specialises dirt track and long track racing for both junior and senior riders. The Woodstock Park Speedway, the club’s home circuit is regarded as one of the safest in the country, with large run off areas. The club conducts Dirt Track and Longtrack Track, usually on the last Sunday of each month. There are outstanding facilities including a modern canteen and amenities block and a large pit and spectator area.

COWRA RIDING FOR THE DISABLED ASSOCIATION
Riding for the Disabled Cowra is a Not-for-profit organisation providing equine therapy in the Cowra community. The RDA Op Shop at 177 Kendal St, Cowra is very thankful to the Cowra community for their generous support. As this is the only Shop in Cowra fully supporting Cowra RDA, it is registered under the Australian Charities & Not For Profit Commission and all funds raised go towards funding the equine therapy for the students. The Shop is pivotal in the support of the day to day running of Cowra RDA and will contribute towards the ongoing maintenance and running of the new arena. The shop opening hours are 10am till 4pm every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

ROTARY CLUB OF COWRA
The club was formed in 1938 and has a long and proud tradition of helping the Cowra community and contributing to the wider Rotary International community. Rotary offers locals a chance to concurrently develop business networking opportunities whilst building lifelong friendships. Rotary meets weekly on a Thursday evening at 6pm for a 6.30pm dinner at the Cowra Bowling and Recreation Club, and meetings usually have a guest speaker covering a vast range of topics of interest both in business and community affairs.

COWRA TENNIS CLUB
The Cowra Tennis Club is a 10 court facility run by a committee of volunteers. We hold tournaments, night comps, social tennis, adult and kids coaching, cardio tennis and the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots program. Membership includes reduced casual court hire, registration with Tennis NSW, access to entry into Tennis NSW events and personal accident insurance. Membership fees go towards the general cost, maintenance and improvement of the club.

The Cowra Youth Council (CYC) is a committee established by Cowra Council in 2011. The Youth Council is made up of two Councillors (currently Cr Judi Smith and Cr Erin Watt), the Community Projects Officer, and 14 young people that live or attend school in Cowra

WOODSTOCK MEMORIAL SHOW
The Woodstock Memorial Show is held annually on the first Sunday in September, the first day of spring, Fathers Day. The show encourages the development of pastoral, agricultural, horticultural, viticulture, industrial and cultural pursuits of Woodstock and the surrounding district. The Show provides prizes including cash and trophies.
The beneficiaries of the annual show include the Woodstock War Memorial Hall. The show also makes numerous donations to the community or other charitable organisations in Woodstock and surrounding districts. The Show also provides the opportunity for community groups to raise funds through activities on Show Day. The success of our community event has been recently recognized by Agricultural Societies Council of New South Wales, with the show receiving the Innovation Award for 2016 and the Resilience Award in 2021.
