‘Expanse’ by Mel Hoey

Mel, a graphic designer, engages in creating expansive artworks, in both large and small scale. ‘Expanse’ explores the hues and forms of Australia’s landscapes, with a focus on lands and sky compositions. Her artistic journey involves ongoing exploration with abstract work, and more recently landscapes. This body of work features both expressive brush strokes, which are often seen in Mel’s abstract representations, mixed with softer, blurred lines.

Even though Mel has always been creative, her artistic journey into the world of acrylics really began when she opened a store in Forbes. This was an opportunity to showcase her work to a broader community.
