COWRA & DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Cowra & District Historical Society & Museum Inc. is a not for profit group that is dedicated to preserving and recording the history of the Cowra area and the outlying villages that fall into the Cowra Shire. The group also hold information relating to some of the surrounding shire areas.
The Society was formed in 1967 and over the years many items of interest have been collected. Most of these items are waiting for a proper display area so they can be shown to their best advantage however, displays are held approximately four times a year in the Cowra Visitors Centre and also at the local Cowra Show in September. A calendar is printed annually using photos from our extensive collection which can be purchased at the Cowra Information Centre. They have become a much looked for item to add to Christmas stockings and are usually available in time for the local Cowra Show in Spring.
